Statistics

We often think of young men going off to war, and the First World War was certainly no exception. But if we look at the data that is available, there is a significant difference; the number of enlistees in the 25-29 age range is actually higher than the 18-20 range. Not by a lot, mind you, but there are more of them.

This is an incomplete analysis, it is based on the number of entries in the Canadian Great War Project datatbase, but it will become more accurate as time progresses and more entries are filled in. This is true of all of the statistics that are available. But all of these statistics are also available from any groups that you set up, so in this case, there information becomes as accurate as the group that you created.

If there is a specific summary of information that you think may be useful to others studying the Great War, please let marc know.

If you think of other tips that would be good to add, please send marc an eMail and let him know.
