Hedley, a small community of around 400, was a booming mining town at the turn of the 2th century. Hedley is located on Highway 3. It is approximately 20 kilometres west of Keremeos, 25 kilometres east of Princeton and approximately 345 kilometres east of Vancouver.

The monument is an obelisk and was likely erected in the 1920's.

If anyone has any comments, or can provide more information on the monument, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
