Uploader's Research notes: Source: LAC files [Private Army Canadian Infantry 4th Reserve Battalion Posted to 4th Reserve Battalion on disbandment of 160th Battalion. Held there until posted to 1st Battalion in the field. Private Army Canadian Infantry 160th Battalion B Company Enlisted at Teeswater, Ontario the day after his brother. Shipped overseas from Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 17, 1917 aboard the SS Metagama. Landed at Liverpool on October 28. Posted to Witley Camp. 160th Battalion was to be part of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Fifth Canadian Division. When the Fifth Division was deactivated, the 160th Battalion was broken up for reinforcements to other units. Private Army Canadian Infantry Western Ontario Regimental Depot SOS from 1st Battalion to WORD while still in hospital. Died of influenza and bronchial pheumonia at Reading Hospital on October 18, 1918. Private Army Canadian Infantry 1st Battalion B Company Reported to the 1st Battalion at Bully Grenay on March 06, 1918. Assigned to B Company. Evacuated due to illness on May 01, 1918. SOS to Western Ontario Regimental Depot on August 15, but did not actually report there, as he was still in hospital. ]
