From Letters from the Front, Imperial Bank of Canada

Corporal. Born 12th March, 1886, at Aberdeen, Scotland. Father, Patrick William Watson, Com­mission Agent. Educated at Gordon's College, Aberdeen. Entered the service of the Bank, 15th November, 1906. Left Peterboro branch, where he was Accountant, to return to Old Country to take up military service, 30th April, 1915. Enlisted in Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, with the rank of Private. Transferred to Machine Gun Corps, November, 1916. Promoted Corporal, September, 1917. Served in the Royal Naval Reserve (H. M. Torpedo Boat Division) in 1916; with Machine Gun Corps in France during 1917 and 1918. Wounded, 11th April, 1918.

Died of Wounds, 5th May, 1918, in. Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow.
