Charlotte Macalister served at Buxton. LAC records her rank as Nursing Sister, however, she is referred to as Matron Macalister during her time at Buxton.
For example, this page for a diary entry dated March 24, 1916 reports "March 24th. Miss C. F. Macalister reported for duty on transfer from Moore Barracks Hospital, Shorncliffe."
Her name appears again in diary entries for October 1916 , "Oct. 18th. Matron Macalister received orders to hold herself in readiness for transfer. Oct. 19th. Matron E. Campbell is taken on the strength of the Unit to take over the duties of Matron Macalister." On the same page: "Oct. 26th, Matron C. F.
