See also, 12th Field Ambulance War Diary, December 30, 1916 and January 22, 1917 [Captain Army Canadian Army Medical Corps M.D. No. 10 Lieutenant Colonel Army Canadian Army Medical Corps Canadian Army Medical Corps General List Posted to the CAMC General List for administrative purposes while convalescing. He was discharged from hospital and granted three months medical leave on February 12, 1917. On May 14 a medical board recommended three months' furlough in Canada. He returned to Canada aboard the SS Justicia from Liverpool to Halifax, May 26 to June 07. Lieutenant Colonel Army Canadian Army Medical Corps M.D. No. 10 Manitoba Military Convalescent Hospital On August 03 a medical board at Winnipeg recommended return to full duty overseas. Lieutenant Colonel Army Canadian Army Medical Corps No. 12 Field Ambulance Commanding Officer Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed commanding officer of the 12th Field Ambulance at Winnipeg. The 12th Field ambulance sailed from Montreal to Liverpool aboard the SS Scandinavian, June 23 to July 03, 1916. The unit moved to Dibgate Camp, Shorncliffe on arrival in England. On July 26 the 12th joined the Fourth Canadian Division at Bramshott. They proceeded from Southampton to Havre, France aboard the SS Connaught, August 11/12. On December 30, 1916, Lt Col Gordon was admitted to the 22nd Casualty Clearing Station due to illness. He was transferred to the 20th General Hospital, Camiers on January 06, 1917. From there he was evacuated to the Daughters of the Empire Hospital, London on January 11. ]
