Son of Frank Lewis Nason and Thalia Painter Nason, of West Haven, Conn., U.S.A.

Yale College, Class of 1915

In business in Montreal; Yale history reports he enlisted in 1915 (attestation reports 10 months service as Lieutenant in 1st Reinforcing Coy. R.H.C., CEF) and bounced up and down in rank, reportedly giving up a commission to go to France as an enlisted man (that is belied by officer attestation paper of May, 1917 from Montreal)

Arrived in England early in 1918; Bramshott Camp, Hants. with 20th Canadian Reserve Battalion

Rejoined 5th Canadian Highlanders, according to Yale account

Death described in letter by Commanding Officer, 13th Canadian Battalion: Nason was killed while leading his men in the attack on machine gun posts in the northern part of Sancourt village

Fellow Yale alumnus Lawrence Fulton Kirby, 1907 Law, a private in the 15th Canadian Cavalry, was killed the same day and is also buried at Sancourt
