Uploader's Research notes:

Word was received in Calgary Sunday of the recovery of the body of the late Harry A. Benner, who left Calgary with the 113th battalion, later serving in France with the 16th Canadian Scottish. Upon his return from overseas last November, owing to having been badly gassed, he proceeded to Qu’Appelle for treatment, where on May 22 he met with the fatal accident while canoeing.

His mother died while he was in France. He leaves an only sister, Mrs. A. Lowther, 1305 Thirteenth avenue west, who, with her husband, leaves today to take the body to Ontario for burial.

Before going overseas deceased was a druggist in High River, also Hanna, where many friends will mourn his loss.
