Uploader's Notes: Arrived in England on March 26, 1916 and was transferred to the 1st Battalion of the Canadian Infantry, Western Ontario Regiment, on July 7, 1916. He was slightly wounded on April 10, 1917 at Vimy Ridge and treated at the No. 5 British Red Cross Hospital in Wimereux and the Ontario Military Hospital in England. He returned to his unit in France on September 9, 1917 and was wounded in the left leg during a battle at the Drocourt-Queant Line on September 27, 1918. He was subsequently returned to England on October 16, 1918 for further treatment and during his recovery he accidentally fell and fractured his leg. He was invalided to Canada on May 29, 1919 and discharged on July 4, 1919.
