Images of the Great War

Many of the records in the Canadian Great War Project database have images attached to them. Unfortunately, there wasn't a good way to see these images, without first finding the entry that had them. We've added this page to facilitate seeing some of these images.

Adding Images

There are two types of images, those attached to the individual soldiers, and general images, not attached to an individual. Please keep images to JPEG format and try to keep them under 50K in size. The moderators reserve the right to resize large images.

Soldier Images

To add an image that is linked to a soldier to the database, first select the individual from the search pages, then click on the "Add Image" link below the record details. Note that you must be a registered user of the site to add images. Registration is simple and free.

General Images

To add a general image, select the "Great War Images" page and click on the "Add Image" link at the bottom of the page. Note that you must be a registered user of the site to add images. Registration is simple and free.
